From Bale Breaker & Great Artisan:
The Great Artisan Beverage Company/Washington (The Odom Corporation, Craig Stein Distributing, Marine View Beverage, Crown Distributing and Sound Beverage) have been appointed to distribute Bale Breaker Brewing Company’s craft beers throughout the State of Washington.
Washington’s Yakima Valley contains approximately 75 percent of the total United States hop acreage, and from the heart of hop country comes Bale Breaker Brewing Company. The great-grandparents of owners Patrick Smith, Meghann Quinn, and Kevin Smith first planted hops in the Yakima Valley in 1932, the year before Prohibition ended. Now, 82 years later, their love of hops and passion for craft beer has led them to where they are today – in the midst of running a production brewery surrounded by their family’s hop fields, just down the road from where they were born and raised. Bale Breaker was named Rate Beer’s Best New Brewer in 2013. “We’re very excited to expand our distribution to Western Washington and also grow our relationship with Odom and Great Artisan Beverage companies,”commented Kevin Quinn, Owner and Brewer of Bale Breaker Brewing Company. We don’t think we could have found better partners to help us grow our distribution footprint. We plan to open distribution to more counties in Western Washington as we continue to add capacity throughout the year.”
Nick Gagliardi, President of Great Artisan Beverage, adds, “We’re so honored to represent such a quality brewery lead by such quality people. Bale Breaker is truly a brewer that has made such a high mark in the Craft Beer Business in the Pacific Northwest in such a short period of time.”
