From Half Acre:
Five years ago we knew it was time to brew a threatening stout emblazoned with a pretty kitten. We decided on a coffee impregnated imperial stout, and that we'd name this unknowing kitten Big Hugs. Each year we try to brew a beer that's hammered out wide, leaving no one feature dangling out as an unwanted henchman. The Tun is punished with scads of grain before pulling out the stained wort of a blackened earth. The kettle rolls this liquid dim end over end while searing the balance to its back and casting the fate into your glass. You've seen Big Hugs appear as a land scorching demon. You've seen him as the prancing pansy. He's taken on cities, castles, yule tide glee and a mechanized version of himself. It's this year that Hugs finds his way into history and sits down with Earth's one-time leader. The apex predators of yesterday always make room for an incredible new force.
Come by on Sunday, December 15th for some Imperial Coffee Stout cheer. We'll have food and beverages available from some of our friends, as well as some special firkins and other surprises. There shall be a cash line and a card line for whichever payment method you'd prefer. As always, the coffee for Big Hugs came from our friends at Dark Matter Coffee.
