Great Stone news from the San Diego Eater:
It's only inevitable that every neighborhood will someday have a Stone to call its own. Downtown residents are the latest lucky recipients of a new Stone Company Store, which soft opened this week on Kettner Boulevard in the Columbia district.
Situated just few steps from the tracks of the Santa Fe Train Depot, this is Stone Brewing Co.'s sixth satellite
location, and at over 3,500-square-feet, the largest so far.
The tasting room's 20 taps feature nine years round beers and a rotating specialty line-up, which can be sipped in four, eight or 16 ounce pours. Unique to this spot is a minimum purchase on beer to-go sales, the equivalent of 64 ounces, which means a 2L growler, a six pack or three 22oz bombers. Stone says they're trying to work with officials to reduce the minimum to allow the sale of single 500ml bottles.
