From Short’s:

As much as we look back fondly on summer, the cold hard truth is that we’re headed towards the season of parkas and toe warmers. It’s not nearly all bad though. Every year we at Short’s find late fall to be the perfect opportunity for eating big meals, wearing ugly sweaters, and surrounding ourselves with the many good humans in our lives. And now, we feel it’s only right to share that spirit of togetherness with our entire home state. Released for distribution at the very beginning of November, we’re very happy to reintroduce our next seasonal offering: Good Humans!

Good Humans (8.0% ABV, 19 IBU) is a unique and distinctive Dry Hopped Double Brown Ale. Pouring a deep amber brown, the nose expresses sweet malty aromas mingling with prominent toasted caramel and toffee flavors. The medium body and smooth mouthfeel offer similar prominent toasted malt character with subtle sweet caramel and nut flavors on the front. This beer finishes pleasingly dry, with a bouquet of hops that have slight fruity qualities.

Good HumansThe story of Good Humans began with Joe Short finding inspiration in all the incredible, influential people who had come into his life in 2009, the year it was first brewed. The tag line “We’re Humans! We’re the best thing ever!” originates from lyrics by Seth Bernard, beloved Northern Michigan singer-songwriter and good friend of Short’s Brewing Company. Seth also sketched the label artwork on the back of a napkin to give this unique brew the final touches it needed to become a true celebration of friendship and general goodness for all to enjoy!

Good Humans will be available in bottles and on tap throughout Michigan from November 2013-January 2014. So, while you’re cozying up to the hearth and roasting your chestnuts on an open fire, go ahead and share a six-pack of this Short’s seasonal with all the Good Humans in your life.
