Hangar 24 Winter Wins GABF Gold & Winter Releases

From Hangar 24:

We're still buzzing here at Hangar 24 from our Warmer's gold medal win for Specialty Beer at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival. This was our first medal at the GABF, the largest beer competition and festival in America. With thousands of beers entered for competition and close to 50,000 attendees, we were shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest beers, brewers and craft beer fans in the world.  This medal is Warmer's second award, coming on the heels of another Specialty Beer gold at the 2012 World Beer Cup. Congratulations to all this year's winners, and to our neighboring breweries here in Southern California who put on a particularly strong showing.

To celebrate the season and the win for Warmer, I wanted to reach out and announce our upcoming release plans, including this year's batch of the gold-medalist.  Even though Gourdgeous just released this month, its already time to plan for the winter.

Hullabaloo Winter Beer: November Release

All good things must eventually come to an end, even Oktoberfest. As celebrations around the world conclude, our Oktoberfest Fall Lager moves aside and our Hullabaloo Winter Beer takes its place. Hullabaloo will be available in 4-packs of 12 oz. bottles and on draught starting in November, with distribution throughout California and Nevada. A Scottish Ale, Hullabaloo pairs domestic and European malts with American and English hops for a big, rich beer to toast the season. It features one of our favorite labels... can you recognize the lighter-than-air "vehicle" pictured? By our count, its one that's only seen a few flights over the years.

Warmer: November 29th Release

Our Brewers will be traveling up into the San Bernardino Mountains this week to harvest the fresh spruce tips that will be paired with cinnamon and maple syrup to provide the local, winter flavors of our Warmer. Its a lightly hopped, festive ale brewed to embrace the cooler months of the year. This year's batch of the gold-medalist will launch on Black Friday, November 29th, with a release celebration at our Tasting Room, and will be available on draught and in 22oz bombers. Craft-centric retailers and beverage chains should have it. Watch our Tasting Room's Facebook Page for more details about Warmer's release celebration.

Pugachev's Cobra: December 7th Release

Mark your calendars!  December 7th marks the release of our third batch of Barrel Roll #3, Pugachev's Cobra. An Imperial Russian Stout, Pugachev's is brewed with three dark roasted malts and rich maple syrup, then aged in bourbon barrels for eight months. Although ready to drink now, Pugachev's complex flavors will evolve for years in your cellar. It will be on draught and in 750ml bottles in our tasting room with a limit of 3 bottles per person. A limited amount will be available at craft-centric bars and stores in Southern California, as well.

Pugachev's is a fan favorite and we're planning something special for its return on December 7th: a barrel-aged beer event.  Last I checked, our brewers are planning to offer more than twenty different barrel-aged beers. Stay tuned to our Tasting Room's Facebook page for the official announcement in the coming weeks.

We'll have plenty of new information about these events as the season progresses so be sure to stay in touch with us on Facebook,Twitter and Instagram. You can find our beer in your area using ourBeer Finder.

I hope to see everyone at the brewery this season, beneath the heat lamps, shoulder to shoulder with good friends over a pint.
