(Denver, CO) – After stacking barrels throughout the summer, River North Brewery is set to release the first in a series of new barrel-aged brews, kicking off a fall season full of special releases.
First up: Rum Barrel Quandary! This new addition to the RNB Barrel Series debuts Saturday, September 28th at 1pm in the River North taproom, 2401 Blake Street in Denver.
For this brew, River North’s brewers blended two-thirds of their quadrupel aged in rum barrels with one-third fresh. The result melds the maltiness of a Belgian dark ale with the sweet sharpness of rum and oak, striking a refined balance between the beer and the barrel.
Seventy-two cases were bottled, and both numbered bombers and draft pours will be available during the release party on the 28th. A limited number of bottles will also hit store shelves up and down the Front Range following the taproom debut.
This release marks the start of a flavor-packed fall season for River North. Follow the brewery on Facebook (facebook.com/rivernorthbrewery) or Twitter (@rivernorthbrew) to stay up to date with this and several other upcoming barrel-aged releases to be announced soon.
