2Kids Brewing Company launches their nanobrewery today at 3 p.m. in the Miramar area (8680 Miralani Dr. #123). They raised over $25,000 on Kickstarter to help build the tasting room; according to Facebook, they'll be open Thursdays through Sunday.
Downtown Escondido is the home to Plan 9 Alehouse, which soft opens tonight at 5 p.m. The $40,000 raised on Kickstarter went to constructing a small brewery restaurant from the ground up; Plan 9 will serve their own beers, from IPAs to Belgians.
