From Jack’s Abby & Remarkable Liquids:
Remarkable Liquids will represent Jack’s Abby Brewing and their portfolio of classic and unconventional lagers throughout Upstate NY and the Hudson Valley (excluding Westchester County).
Prior to the agreement, Jack’s Abby had only been available in Massachusetts. “Although we continue to see substantial growth in our home state we recently underwent an expansion bringing us from 5,500 bbl capacity to 13,000 bbls. This allows us to spread our unique lagers to the beer drinkers of New York” said Sam Hendler, Vice President of Jack’s Abby. “We are incredibly excited to partner with Remarkable Liquids, you can see their passion for craft beer in everything they do.”
Jack’s Abby will launch in September with “Copper Legend Octoberfest” along with their year round offerings on draft. Late October will bring the company’s first 12oz, six-packs, including Hoponius Union, Smoke & Dagger and Jabby Brau. Mass Rising, a new Double IPL (India Pale Lager), will be available in four-packs by the end of year.
“The beer the Hendler brothers are making will change your perception of what a lager can be,” says Matt Hartman, Partner at Remarkable Liquids. “The level of quality and continuous innovation happening at Jack’s Abby is the embodiment of the Craft Beer Revolution.”
Founded by the three Hendler brothers, Jack, Eric, and Sam, Jack’s Abby Brewing is the culmination of decades of Hendler entrepreneurship and ambition. Although Jack’s Abby Brewing opened July of 2011, the ideas behind it date back to their childhood, growing up in a family business. After college Jack began brewing professionally and earned his diploma in brewing technology in May of 2007. After several years as head brewer at a popular Boston brew pub, Jack’s entrepreneurial spirit took hold and the Hendler brothers began brainstorming.
“Jack’s Abby Brewing” is a nod to Jack’s wife, Abby, and to the traditions of the European monks who handcrafted beer in their abbeys. The brothers are inspired by that tradition of brewing which emphasizes quality local ingredients, mindful labor and great recipes to create delicious, authentic beer.
