From Boulder Beer Co:

Boulder, CO – Boulder Beer Company, Colorado’s First Craft Brewery, will release a new small batch, limited-edition seasonal beer in September called Dragonhosen Imperial Oktoberfest.

Brewed with generous amounts of Vienna and Munich malts for a rich, full-bodied malty flavor, Dragonhosen begins as a traditional Oktoberfest lager, then stealthily breathes fire with 9% alcohol by volume. Hallertau and Czech Saaz hops add balance with a mild earthy aroma and flavor with moderate bitterness.

“We’re a brewery known for our hoppy ales like Hazed and Mojo,” said Steve Trese, Head Brewer at Boulder Beer Company. “Dragonhosen is a big, malty lager and a great addition to our lineup. We had a lot of fun coming up with this one.”

Dragonhosen Imperial Oktoberfest will be available this year only in a handful of select markets in 22-ounce bottles and draught.

Locally, The Pub at Boulder Beer Company will be serving its first kegs of Dragonhosen on Thursday, September 19th, celebrating its release Oktoberfest-style with live polka music and sausage specials.
