Mustang Brewing To Celebrate 4th Anniversary And Double Capacity With New Brewhouse & Rebranding

From Mustang Brewing:

It’s hard to believe that four years ago - on July 13, 2009 - we served the first pint of Mustang beer. That first pint night at McNellie’s OKC was an amazing night that will always be something we hold dear in our hearts. A lot has changed since then, but we still function under the same premise: make really good, easy-drinking, craft beers that people can enjoy again and again. We like to think we do that pretty well. Sure we’ve occasionally been whispered about by some other local craft beer companies and beer snobs for our lack of big and bold beers, but the numbers speak for themselves. People, bars and restaurants - like you - enjoy our beer styles and that’s what counts!

As we told you in the last newsletter, our brewhouse in Oklahoma City (OKCity Brewing) unfortunately fell victim to the recent tornadoes. However, with every challenge comes an opportunity. This is no different. We are pleased to announce that we will soon begin construction on our new bre-whouse, which will be located in our headquarters building at 520 N. Merid-ian Avenue. This new facility will be double the size of our previous location, will include a tasting room, merchandise store, event space, and more. We strive to help Oklahoma become one of the premier craft beer tourism loca-tions in the region. This new location is a big step in that direction. Stay tuned for more updates as construction ensues. Our target date for opening will co-incide with OK House Bill 1431 (allowing sampling of beer on brewery prem-ises) taking affect on November 1st, 2013.

In addition to construction on the new brewhouse, we have a number of other great things in the works. These include, but are not limited to:

 A slew of 4th Anniversary events throughout July

 Partnering with Hanson on production of their Pale Ale, Mmmhops;

 Being the exclusive beer provider for Mumford & Sons’ upcoming Gentle-men of the Road stopover in Guthrie, OK, Sept. 6th & 7th;

 Launching Mustang beer in the Little Rock, AR, area;
 Continuing to add new beers to our SaddleBag Series; and
 The re-release of our IPA, DoppelHopper!

We sincerely say “THANK YOU” for all the support you have shown us the past four years. Without you, this dream we call Mustang Brewing Company would never have come to fruition. Details on our 4th Anniversary events can be found on the next page. We hope you can make it to at least one so we get the chance to thank you in person.
Cheers!

imageAs you look on the shelves over the next couple of months, you may notice something a bit different about some of your favorite brews. We’ve undergone a bit of a branding refresh. While most changes were minor, one of our best selling brews now has a new name. After a cease and desist letter and subsequent legal fees [long story], Route 66 will now be known as Mustang Sixty-Six. Same great flavor with a sexy new look. We love this beer! So much so, we plan to release it in cans in the fall. Stay tuned!
