Some Left Hand news coming today from the TimesCall:

Left Hand Brewing Co. recently paid $660,000 for 2.1 acres of land next to its Boston Avenue brewery, with no immediate plans for the property but a belief that it will be needed in the future.

"We just don't want to be landlocked," said Chris Lennert, vice president of operations. "You look at several of the breweries today and they're landlocked, and we just don't want to put ourselves in that position."

Seven small businesses are operating on the property and they will continue to for the foreseeable future, Lennert said, adding that the brewery's expansion onto the land is several years away.
