We brought you news that Weyerbacher Blanche had been renamed White Sun Wit and now I’m excited to announce that it has been released. Details on this and other releases from Weyerbacher:
White Sun Wit will be released this weekend, April 19th, at Weyerbacher’s Visitors Center! It has begun shipping to wholesalers as well, so look for it on the shelves wherever you usually find Weyerbacher beer! While we’ve really increased production this year, this beer is going to be in high demand as it was under its old moniker, Blanche, which usually sold out before the outside temperatures began to soar! White Sun Wit is the perfect summer beer, so be sure to get yours before it’s gone!
WSW (4.6% ABV) is a crisp and hazy Belgian-Style Wit. It is our thirst quenching spring and early summer ale. The nose has a light spiciness from the coriander, orange peel, grains of paradise and star anise. The palate reveals a mild, refreshing and effervescent wheat beer that finishes with just a hint of tartness. Available from April through July. Enjoy!
White Sun Wit will be available at the Visitors Center beginning Friday, April 19th! To help celebrate the launch of the new name, brand new Weyerbacher White Sun Wit comfy T-shirts will be available for purchase! They are $15 each, available in unisex and ladies’ crew neck styles! These will not be featured on Weyerbacher’s online store, so be sure to get to the brewery and pick one up!
The next Brewers’ Select Series will continue to feature new beers which will don the names of constellations – Andromeda is the first! Andromeda will be an amber ale with a pronounced and complex malt profile (notes of coffee, bread and roasted grains). It should be mid 4% ABV and low IBUs. As with all of our Brewers’ Select beers, Andromeda will have extremely limited production. Draft will be available at select restaurants and bars, while bottles will be sold exclusively at Weyerbacher’s Visitors Center. We should see the release of this beer by the end of April. Stay tuned!
