From Indeed Brewing:

Indeed Brewing Company is proud to announce that it is supporting three local and regional nonprofits as part of its partnership with 1% For the Planet, and the company’s commitment to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment. In addition to the monetary donations that the Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness, Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota, and Great River Greening will receive, we will also create volunteer opportunities and promote advocacy for our common goals throughout the year of 2013.

These organizations work to promote sustainability, a healthy and active lifestyle, and places that Indeed Brewing Company and many Minnesotans hold dear to their hearts like the Minnesota River and Mississippi River, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, and bicycling.

Since our inception, Indeed Brewing Company made the decision to preserve, protect, and support a healthy planet. In doing so, we became members of 1% for the Planet. As 1% for the Planet members, we are financially committed to donating 1% of our gross annual sales to nonprofit groups committed to sustainability, as well as building and working toward an eco-friendly business. This means that by supporting us, you are in turn supporting sustainability efforts through our 1% contributions, and we appreciate it! Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness’ mission are to protect, preserve and restore the wilderness character of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and the Quetico-Superior Ecosystem. The Minneapolis-based organization of 3,000 members is a sentry against further harm in the BWCAW and the Quetico-Superior Ecosystem. By partnering with other conservation groups and activating its membership, the Friends ensure that a “voice of wilderness” is always heard during policy debates.

Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota’s mission is to provide leadership and a unified voice for bicycle education, advocacy and efforts to make Minnesota more bicycle friendly so that more people will ride bicycles more often.

Great River Greening leads and inspires community-based restoration of our prairies, forests, and waters. Their restoration efforts help preserve natural areas, protect clean air and water, and increase urban residents’ access to natural areas and sustainable open space.
