El Cajon Brewery Closing It’s Door

imageDespite a bailout from the city, El Cajon Brewery will be closing it’s doors for good.  Details from NBC San Diego:

Despite funding from the City of El Cajon and a loan, the El Cajon Brewing Company officially closed its doors Monday.

Owner Stephen Meadows and the property owner Howard Fisher could not negotiate terms acceptable to each party to bring the private lease up to date, according to city officials. Even with negotiations, Meadows filed for bankruptcy after he was unable to fulfill rent obligations.

The family-owned business opened in October 2011.

Their brew was OK, The best they brewed was the their IPA...but they did have other great beers from other local and not so local breweries on Tap...It was a nice place to visit once in a while.. Folks were always nice... Kinda saw it coming... Sad to see them go....
