Shorts Brewing - First Ever Hopstache Bottle Release

image
From Short’s Brewing:

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the follicular bands which have connected them to the bearded or clean-shaven, Short’s finds due cause to triumphantly declare freedom to grow, admire, and honor the Mustache!image

Enter Hopstache.
An American IPA, Hostache exemplifies the bold citrus flavors and aromas provided by certain American hop varieties (in this case Simcoe, Amarillo, and Citra). The aroma is dominated by earthy grapefruit tones. Initial malt sweetness is quite low and tart citrus and floral hop qualities overpower other perceived flavors. Aided by the addition of grapefruit zest, the finish electrifies the mouth, but is not unbearably bitter.Conceived by Beer Liberator Jon Wojtowicz, Hopstache was first brewed as a celebration of Woj’s wedding and named for the theme of his 30th birthday party. The label depicts Joe Short’s very first mustache, a mustache he’s since diligently improved upon towards the marvel we experience today.
