East Coast Beer Announces Cruiser IPA

Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey (March 22nd, 2013/mbb/) – Jersey Shore based East Coast Beer Co. is excited to announce the release of its fourth and latest offering, Beach Haus® Cruiser IPA. An India Pale Ale by style, Beach Haus® Cruiser IPA is an American version of the historical English-style beer that is brewed using American ingredients, and features a higher hop aroma and more bitterness than its European counterpart. It will be available in bottles and on tap starting the second week in April wherever Beach Haus® Brands are sold.

“Beach Haus® Cruiser will interest fans of India Pale because of its burst of hop aroma, hop flavor, and balance,” said John ‘Merk’ Merkin, co-founder of East Coast Beer Co. Head Brewer Tom Przyborowski added, “It brings with it the best of the English originals, but is balanced with distinctly American attributes. The strong malt backbone of the beer, coupled with greater hop intensity, will pique the interest of IPA fans but make it accessible for newcomers as well.”

India Pale Ale was originally developed in England throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. The beer’s history is checkered with inconsistencies, its true origin is murky at best, and the IPAs of today bear little resemblance to the original. One thing, however, has remained consistent throughout the beer’s history – its unflagging popularity. Today, IPAs can be found all over the world and the variation in hop, malt, and alcohol levels are innumerable. But you can be sure to find a high hop flavor with medium bitterness, and medium malt backbone in the clean and balanced Beach Haus® Cruiser IPA.

East Coast Beer Co.’s Beach Haus® Cruiser IPA has an ABV of 6% and is sold throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York and wherever else the company’s Beach Haus® brands are sold.

Other Beach Haus® brands include their flagship brew, Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner, which is a refreshing traditional-style pilsner reminiscent of the old German-American style of brewing. The full-flavored, pre-prohibition style pilsner uses all-American ingredients including Mt. Hood Hops, and is brewed to perfection, reflecting a unique taste and style of the Jersey Shore.

The company launched its second beer, Beach Haus® Winter Rental, in October 2011. This seasonal lager, inspired by the German Schwarzbier, is a hearty, yet soft and elegant brew that brings comfort to the late fall and winter months. It is a darker beer with roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. Less hoppy than it’s predecessor, Winter Rental is yet another full-flavored, accessible style in the East Coast Beer Co. portfolio.

Beach Haus® Kick Back Ale has a moderate hop taste from a selection of American hop varieties balanced by slightly stronger malt and caramel flavors. It is a full body beer with a smooth finish and easy-going demeanor.
