Tuttle has been with Oskar Blues for three years, starting off in the packaging line at the company's Longmont, Colo., facility as well as the Oskar Blues Home Made Liquids and Solids restaurant in Longmont. He worked his way up to senior brewer, and this year was offered the opportunity by Oskar Blues owner Dale Katechis to head the company's new expansion brewery in Brevard.
We have the operation divided up into five areas. We have the brewery, which I'm overseeing; Eric Baumann is overseeing the cellar; Neal Price, finance; Brian Spotts, packaging, shipping and receiving; and then Tim Wadkins over the lab. And so I feel with that team, and the five people coming out here, because of how good a job that they do, I'm confident that together we can run the production of this brewery.
