imageFrom Cambridge Brewing:

On behalf of everyone at CBC, I’d like to wish you a happy, healthy and beer-filled New Year! I know I can’t be the only one whose New Year Resolution was to drink more craft beer, so just know that we’re here to help you stay on track.

It’s only a few days into the New Year and we’re already very busy planning ourfirst event of 2013! I’m happy to announce that this year’s annual Barleywine  Festival will be held on Thursday, January 31stat 5pm.

As is typical at this time of year, Will disappeared into the depths of his secret beer vault in search of barleywines from years gone by. And I know you’re going to be happy with what he’s come up with. After our preliminary talks, I’ve been told that we can expect 12 different expressions of our award winning Arquebus2 different versions of our English-le Old Ale, Bad

Knees.

Update 1/12/2013:

Greetings!

As promised I’ve got more information about this year’s
Barleywine Festival
.

Last week, I let you know that it would be held on Thursday,
January 31
starting at 5pm. As always, our Barleywine Festival
will be a night showcasing the many expressions of our award-
winning barleywines, each one being different from the last. I’ve
posted the full list with vintages below.

We’ll kick off the event with the official release of the 2012 Blunderbuss
and will follow that with 11 vintages of our Blunderbuss and Arquebus
barleywines. And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ll be offering both the 2011
and 2012 Bad Knees English-style Old Ale! Whew!

Barleywine is available in half and full sized pours so you can enjoy as
many or savor as few as you like. Personally, I like to try them all.

Chef David has crafted an amazing small plates menu for the evening to
include French Onion & Fennel Soup made with bone marrow and
Blunderbuss broth, Bad Knees Chicken Lollipops,
and Arquebus
Upside Down Cake with Pineapple & Raspberry
. Which just goes
to show that barleywine is just as fun to cook with as it is to
drink…well, almost. Each dish has been created with barleywine
in mind as a perfect pairing. For the full menu, please see below.
Of course our full dinner menu is available that evening as well.

So, don’t forget to mark your calendars:

Cambridge Brewing Company’s
Annual Barleywine Festival

Laura

And don’t forget to look for updates on our upcoming All Local Dinner
co-hosted with edibleBOSTON magazine.
Please save the date February 27, 2013.
