Some beer release details from Alesmith:
Our first Reserve Series release of 2013 will be Barrel Aged Old Numbskull and our first ever bottling of Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout. A little information about each of these beers:
Barrel Aged Old Numbskull is our award winning American Barleywine Ale matured in premium bourbon barrels for up to one year to develop it's rich intense flavor profile. This beer has not been released since 2010.
Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout is our award winning year round Speedway Stout with Kopi Luwak Coffee. Considered one of the world's most expensive and rare coffee varieties, the beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds of the fruit of the coffee cherry. Expertly roasted by San Diego's Ryan Bros. Coffee leads to an extremely aromatic and exceptionally smooth final product that complements Speedway Stout exceptionally well! Good to the last dropping!
Starting January 15th, you will be able to purchase up to four (4) bottles of Barrel Aged Old Numbskull and up to four (4) bottles of Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout and your name will be registered (you will need to use your name for each bottle). Any duplicate sales to the same name will be voided! We want to make this as fair as possible and get as many bottles into our wonderful customer's hands!
Please USE ONLY YOUR NAME TO PURCHASE THE BOTTLES. YOUR PURCHASE IS JUST FOR YOUR BOTTLES.
Bottles can be picked up starting Saturday, January 19th in the AleSmith Tasting Room. Bottles can be retrieved during tasting room hours from January 19th through Sunday, March 10th (Tue/Wed/Thur: 2-8pm, Fri: 2-9pm, Sat: 11am-8pm & Sun: 11am-6pm.) Any bottles not retrieved by SUNDAY, MARCH 10TH will be surrendered back to the brewery.
Please DO NOT PURCHASE BOTTLES UNLESS YOU CAN MAKE IT TO THE BREWERY BY MARCH 10TH, 2013.
Proxies will not be allowed for this release, you will need to show your proof of purchase (in the form of CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM BROWN PAPER TICKETS) and valid id to retrieve your bottles. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. This means you will NOT be able to pick up anyone else's bottles, and we will not release the bottles to you without a confirmation and valid id matching the name on the sale!
Please ensure you only pick up bottles during the following dates/times: Tue/Wed/Thur: 2-8pm, Fri: 2-9pm, Sat: 11am-8pm & Sun: 11am-6pm. Please do not purchase bottles until you've read the terms and conditions listed below and can ensure you will be able to pick up your bottles by SUNDAY, MARCH 10TH, 2013!

Join us on Saturday, January 19th for a Kopi Luwak Speedway & Barrel Aged Old Numbskull Release party at the brewery (NO BOTTLES WILL BE FOR SALE DAY OF EVENT; please see bottle sale information, above ). We'll have the tasting room open from 11am-8pm and this will be your first day to pick up your previously purchased Barrel Aged Old Numbskull and Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout. The tasting room is open for regular business and you do not need to purchase bottles to visit the tasting room on the 19th! Additionally, your bottle purchases do not register you for this party.
Draft offerings being planned for the day include: Barrel Aged Old Numbskull (cask), Decadence 2012 Belgian-style Quad, My Bloody Valentine and a few other treats through-out the day (limited quantities available).
To keep you well fed while you enjoy the beer, both It's a Dog's World and another to be determined food truck will be on site serving up food from 1pm-7pm.
We'll also have limited edition Barrel Aged Old Numbskull and Kopi Luwak Speedway shirts available for sale. These one of a kind shirts will be a great way to remember a piece of AleSmith history and celebrate a Barrel Aged rarity and first ever bottling of a new beer for AleSmith!
My Bloody Valentine BOTTLES
After many years of being a draft only seasonal offering, My Bloody Valentine Ale will be added to the AleSmith bottle line up in early 2013 (still a seasonal beer).
The release date of My Bloody Valentine is Tuesday, January 15th, exclusively in the AleSmith tasting room (open 2-8pm). We'll have draft, cask conditioned ale and bottles available. After February 22nd, you can expect bottles and draft to start showing up at your favorite craft beer bars and shops! Request it at your favorite bottle shop around town!
