From Boulder Beer:
Boulder, CO) - Boulder Beer Company has released a new limited-edition offering called A Honey of a Saison, brewed with large amounts of Wildflower Honey sourced from Madhava Natural Sweeteners in Longmont, CO.
A Honey of a Saison is a swarm of flavor and a stinger at 11.5% ABV. The French Saison yeast produces big, estery, phenolic aromas and flavors, while the Wildflower Honey lends a spicy, sweet aroma with essence of dried fruits. Champagne Yeast is also used to complete fermentation and create a dry finish. A strong malt bill imparts a rich, golden honey color to the ale, and it shows low hop bitterness at 25 IBU’s.
“Think of A Honey of a Saison as a fresh alternative to your typical winter warmer,” said Tess McFadden, Marketing Director for Boulder Beer Company.
A Honey of a Saison will be available in select markets where Boulder Beer is sold in 22-ounce bottles and draft. The bottles do not show any pull-date, only the year it was packaged, as this high-gravity ale will lend itself very well to cellaring.
On Thursday, December 13th, The Pub at Boulder Beer Company is celebrating the release and tapping the first kegs of the season. The party goes from 4:00 – 7:00pm, with prize drawings and good cheer. Get in the holiday spirit and come wearing your ugliest sweater to enter the Ugly Sweater Contest! Bottled product will also be available for retail purchase beginning at 4:00pm that day.
