The Bruery - Humulus Wet Coming Tomorrow (10/5)

imageGood fresh-hop news from The Bruery:

Hi Everybody!

We hope everyone out there had a great week! If you've been suffering through this mini heat wave like we have, the Tasting Room should provide a nice little air conditioned oasis full of new beers starting this Friday.

For those Humulus lupulus-heads who have been following our Facebook and Instagram pages, our fresh hopped beer, Humulus Wet, is finally ready. We are going to be releasing that deliciously hoppy ale brewed with 10 lbs of Chinook and Citra wet hops per Bbl this Friday night. The combination makes for a blast of piney, floral and citrus-y goodness that is sure to be a hit. Hoppy beers are best consumed as fresh as possible, so come in as soon as you can for a pint of Wet. We'll also be filling growlers of that delectable hoppy treat to the first 20 people that come asking for one. Those growlers will be $20 and we will limit them to one per person to allow many of you to have a chance to get one!

If it's not your style to drool over a pint of Humulus Wet, this Friday just so happens to also be First Firkin Friday! This month we filled a firkin of Autumn Maple with cedar spirals, a woody addition that should complement the sweet and spiced goodness that is our autumn seasonal quite well. We are also still running our 'Patrick for President' flight as well as a killer sour flight if you are looking for a more curated experience. Those flights will be around all weekend long, so just pull up a seat at the bar and ask for one if you're hankering to try a bunch of different beers.

Also, in case you missed it last week, we have brought back our Reserve Bottle List with a bit of a twist. That list of special, limited and discontinued beers will now be available everyday in our Tasting Room. As bottles are taken off the list, other will replace them, with 30% of all Reserve Bottle sales going to charity. Hopefully this program will allow our most loyal -- and adventurous -- patrons to try some beers that would otherwise be difficult to get their hands on while helping our local community at the same time!

We should have some great food trucks here for this upcoming week. Friday night the Lime Truck, of Food Network fame, will be around at 5 o'clock to serve the Humulus Wet and First Firkin Friday fans, Saturday the Bite Me Truck will be here at 12 pm to cook up some delicious grub and Sunday Bacon Mania will be here at 12 pm with their hog-inspired dishes. Next Tuesday, the 9th, we will also be hosting the Viking Truck's 1st anniversary event. At 6 pm they will be opening up their doors and will be offering a free food item to the first 25 people that show a receipt from the Tasting Room, as well as a free side dish with every order and 10% off any item when you show a receipt from inside. It's their little way of thanking the Bruery and our awesome customers for a great year of coming here. Come on in Tuesday night and have grab some food with your flight!
