Harvester Fresh Hope Pale Ale (Gluten-Free)

Some great gluten-free news coming from Harvester Brewing for the release of their new Fresh Hop Pale Ale:

We would like to invite you to Harvester Brewing's World Headquarters (715 SE Lincoln, Portland, OR 97214)  for the release of our Fresh Hop Pale Ale, tomorrow, Friday 10/5 from 4 to 8 pm.

Several weeks ago we visited Goschie Farms in Silverton, OR and went home with 30 lbs. of freshly picked Meridan hops. We went back to the brewery and immediately used the hops in a special version of our Pale Ale, designed to highlight the unique fresh hop flavor and aroma.

The beer is bottled and will head out to stores soon. We'd like to give you the first opportunity to try it out tomorrow night at the brewery. As an added bonus we pulled off a small keg of the Fresh Hop Pale and will be pouring glasses on draft.

Here are the details:

  • Visit us Friday, 10/5,  4-8pm.
  • We'll be pouring Fresh Hop Pale Ale on draft as well as limited amounts of other R&D project beers.
  • Sample pours of Fresh Hop Pale are complementary, half-pints are $2.
  • Our own Chef Ralph Capalupo will be making fancy gluten-free snacks to pair with the beers.
  • We only made this single batch and can't make more until next year's harvest.
  • Bottles of Fresh Hop Pale will be available for purchase.
  • This is one of, if not the first, Fresh Hop Gluten-Free beer ever commercially produced (so that's pretty cool).
  • It's quite delicious.
