Allegheny County has recently approved alcohol advertising in their transit agency, and it is wasting no time accepting ads already from Pabst. I was actually surprised to find that Beer advertising was NOT approved originally. Details from Centredaily:
Ads for Pabst Blue Ribbon debuted last week at the Port Authority of Allegheny County's North Side Station as well as on a bus that goes through the South Side.
The $25,000 six-week campaign is allowed under policy changes in April that allow a wider range of ads, including ones promoting alcohol.
Terri Landis, the agency's director of advertising sales, says the policy allows rejection of ads deemed "distasteful," and in fact one proposed ad showing a woman drinking a beer was nixed.
