Good news for those living in Saxapahaw, NC as Alamance Counties' first brewery is on the way.  Haw River Farmhouse Ales is looking for space and hoping to open in 6 months.  Details from Thetimesnews:

In six months or so, Woodward won’t have a use for his homemade implements and 15-gallon pots. He and fiancée, Dawnya Bohager, will open Haw River Farmhouse Ales — Alamance County’s first brewery — in Saxapahaw by early 2013. They’ll focus on saison ales, Belgian- and French-style beers that often were brewed in barns and farmhouses due to their happiness at room temperatures. Their hope is to use regional hops and N.C.-grown produce to make unique, great-tasting beers.

Their flagship beer will be the Rusted Plow Farmhouse Saison.
