Gregorius Trappist Ale (NEW 8th Trappist Brewery) Coming to the US

image
I brought you the details of the 8th Trappist labeled brewery being approved in Feb.  The monastery is located in Austria, just east of Munich Germany and is called Engelszell Stift…and their beer is called Gregorius Trappist Ale.  Today we have approval to import Gregorius into the US so get set to sample the 8th Trappist Brewery’s beer.  Gregorius is 9% ABV, a 7.9 gallon keg and it will be imported by B. United International Inc. in Redding, CT.  Gregorius is expected to be a darker malted Tripel and it is to be followed by a beer named Benno, a 7% Golden Ale.  These first two beers are named after abbey leaders from the past Gregorius Eisvogel & Benno Stumpf.
