Red Brick Brewing - Hit by Copper Thieves

imageThe beer gods will not be happy with the thieves that made off with with 50-pounds of copper pulled from the electrical circuits of Red Brick Brewing Co’s chiller.  This brazen & risky theft Friday night has left Red Brick’s 11 fermenters without temperature control putting close to 26,000 gallons of beer in danger.  In the tanks were two of Red Brick’s most popular beers, Hop Atlanta & their 17th Anniversary Ale….so keep your fingers crossed.  In the ultimate ironic twist, the theft put close to $200,000 worth of beer at risk and caused $4000 in damage for 50-pounds of copper worth about $200.
