Here’s a new keg-only label from Sierra Nevada called Alternate Ending. This new brew will come in at 6.2% ABV and I’m guessing based on the name that this is a blend or a regular brew that is getting a different aging or fermentation to form the Alternate Ending. And a great call by Heathen in our comments suggesting this may be an ALT style.
Update 12/9: Check the comments in the post and you’ll see this is actually Beer Camp # 64 from last Nov. It IS an ALT style and the name refers to the experimental variety of American hops used in the hopback. Thanks for the great info Denny.

I'm thinking it might be an alt with the way the type is different shade over just those letters.
ReplyDeleteGreat catch Heathen!
ReplyDeleteI was one of the people involved in brewing Alternate Ending. We brewed it at Beer Camp #64 at Sierra Nevada last Nov. It's an alt style with both German and American ingredients. The name comes from the fact that we use an experimental variety of American hops in the hopback for finishing.

ReplyDeleteCool..thank you...so how does the common beer blogger get into beer camp?
ReplyDeleteYou'd have to contact someone at Sierra Nevada. It's by invitation only, but they do host writers frequently.
