From the Reading Eagle:
Yuengling Brewing Co., Pottsville, will unveil a new brew, Oktoberfest seasonal brew, Sept. 16 to 18 at the first Pennsylvania Oktoberfest at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County.
Yuengling still is in the process of developing the beer. Oktoberfest will bring the Yuengling product line to nine, the company said.

I guess they're 'unveiling' it here, but I tried it last weekend at the Ithaca Brew Fest.
ReplyDeleteA little sweet, malty. I don't guess Oktoberfests are supposed to be very hoppy. This one isn't.
I like Yuengling lager if it's the most adventurous beer on the menu. Their Oktoberfest would fit that category!
Thanks John. Should be interesting to try. I'll bet it was free @ Ithaca too.
ReplyDeleteIt's currently on tap at shady mcgradys in harrisburg.
ReplyDelete"not very hoppy." Yeah, i should hope not for an oktoberfest... it's not a troegs beer after all.
