It hasn’t hit NEPA quite yet, but our beloved Hopslam has hit Emmaus, PA…
From Nima:
Bell's HOPSLAM (MI)
After 3,117 phone calls from you, our beloved fans...it's here!!! Hopslam is without a doubt the most sought after and "MUST HAVE" beers every brewed. With that said it is EXTREMELY LIMITED, and we must implement a (1) case per car limit. The beer starts with six different hop varietals added to... the brew kettle & culminating with a massive dry-hop addition of Simcoe hops, Bell’s Hopslam Ale possesses the most complex hopping schedule in the Bell’s repertoire. Selected specifically because of their aromatic qualities, these Pacific Northwest varieties contribute a pungent blend of grapefruit, stone fruit, and floral notes. A generous malt bill and a solid dollop of honey provide just enough body to keep the balance in check, resulting in a remarkably drinkable rendition of the Double India Pale Ale style. HURRY...don't walk, RUN, as this will not last long :(
From Sabatinis:
Sabatini's Pizza just got our hopslam cases and keg last night. The bottles are available now and the keg will be tapped VERY soon..
For those reporting Hopslam available @ Wyoming Valley Beverage---it is a case for 2009 Hopslam! Be Warned....this beer is way past it's best-by dates and will not taste like Larry Bell intended it to taste fresh. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteI've heard from Nima and he tells me Shangy's will be removing the 2009 Hopslam from Wyoming Valley Beverage. These cases were reserved for someone that never picked up and Wyoming Valley Beverage is normally very good with freshness.
