From Victory:
DOWNINGTOWN, PA, February 11, 2014 - Victory Brewing Company® (Victory) is pleased to announce that its popular spring seasonal, Swing Session Saison, is now available in both 12oz. bottles and on draft. The Belgian-style ale boasts spicy aromatic qualities, citrus snap and fresh finish, and will be available across Victory’s national distribution footprint through April.
“The saison style is great for spring and we hope fans enjoy the return of this unique and refreshing brew first introduced last year,” said President and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski.
Swing is currently available for purchase in many bottle shops, beer distributors and major gourmet grocery stores, including most Whole Foods Markets and Wegmans locations along the East Coast, as well as at many craft beer bars nationwide. The suggested retail price for a six-pack is approximately $9.99, depending on location.
In other exciting news, Victory’s popular draft-only brand, Mad King’s Weiss®, will be available for the first time in 22 oz. bottles from April through August.
“The inspiration for our Mad King’s Weiss is Bavaria’s fabled King Ludwig who was said to be a little ‘mad.’ Some might say the same of us for adding lots of extra hop flavor and Belgian yeast to a traditional German-style hefeweizen,” Covaleski joked. “But the result is a high-powered, yet quenching and enjoyable brew, featuring all German malts, hops and backed by a subtle, spicy complexity from the yeast.”
Though new to bottles, Mad King’s Weiss has long been a popular style at Victory’s Downingtown brewpub and on draft in many craft bars where Victory beer is sold.
“Our brewpub serves as an important R&D facility for us,” Covaleski said. “Watching fans enjoying our beers, many of which are not bottled, provides valuable insight that helps guide decisions related to our future brand lineup. We’ve heard great response to this beer for years, so we’re excited to offer it as new 22oz. seasonal in 2014.”
