Mikkeller / Farmers Cabinet 3 Collaboration Brews & Philly Beer Week

29 May 2012

Looks like our pal Terry Hawbaker from Cabinet Artisanal will be meeting up with Thomas from Mikkeller to work on three collaboration beers TODAY.  Details from Mikel:

We will brew light, bright and funky beer with brettanomyces. Much more info will follow in a few days when we have started brewing.

All brewing is done by Cabinet Artisanal Brewhouse’s headbrewer Terry Hawbaker. The first time I tasted beer from Farmers Cabinet was at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration, I was very impressed with the high quality of their beer, and no doubt Terry is an incredibly talented brewer.

Mikel will also be hanging around for Philly Beer Week and two events at the Farmers Cabinet (6/1 & 6/2).  Stay tuned for updates!

Details from Terry:

Brewing our collab with Thomas of Mikkeller... Today was a Singel, brewed with Pils malt, Optic Malt, Caramel pils and Golden Naked Oats then hopped with Citra, Saaz and Amarillo. The whole series will be fermented in used Red wine American oak barrels then finished in Red wine French oak with Brettanomyces. This one will get finished with Brett Claussenii...
