This new keg-only brew from Samuel Adams and our friend Jim Koch promises to be a real marathon beer. It’s called Boston 26.2 Brew and it’s made with Coriander and SALT (presumably to restore your electrolytes after a long run.)
This will be a commemorative brew for the 2012 Boston Marathon with details coming on Thu (2/23). This beer will not only commemorate the 2012 Boston Marathon but also be the starting point for a partnership with the Boston Athletic Association that runs the marathon. Look for the announcement in a few days from Jim Koch as well as former winner Bill Rodgers. Boston Beer did already give up that “This unique brew is fitting for both runners and spectators on race day.”
