Olde Mecklenburg Brewery–Fruh Bock…

image image image

I’m always excited to see some new authentic German-style brews coming out of our friends at Olde Mecklenburg brewery (OMB) in Charlotte NC.  These guys have been brewing some really great brews, and today we have the first look at their spring seasonal Fruh Bock (6% ABV), as well as their Bavarian Style lager (4.9% ABV) and Copper Amber Ale (4.8% ABV).  These are all “reinheitsgebot” brews and all are 22 oz bottles.

imageAs a bonus, here’s the new Capt. James Jack Pilsner label.  This 222oz brew will be 4.9% ABV and commemorates former Mecklenburg tavern owner Captain James Jack who volunteered to carry the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence 500 miles to the continental congress.
