Monterey, Calif. -- Friday, May 17, 2024 -- Alvarado Street Brewery and Good Vibez Presents are thrilled to announce Mai Tai P.A. as the Official Beer of Cali Roots 2024. Far more than just a music festival, Cali Roots is a multi-layered experience, curated for music lovers who want to bring more than just stage performance memories home. Together, as a community of music enthusiasts who gather once a year for a big musical family reunion, Cali Roots festival attendees will now be able to enjoy Mai Tai P.A. in limited-edition 16 oz. cans (as well as Alvarado Street's Monterey Beer in 16 oz. cans) all throughout the festival across its beautiful onsite grounds. "At Cali Roots, we want there to be an Alvarado Street beer for everyone," says Brock Bill (Director of Marketing, Alvarado Street Brewery). "Working alongside the amazing team at Good Vibez Presents over the years has been such a pleasure and now with our beloved Mai Tai being the Official Beer of Cali Roots 2024, the feeling is pretty sublime. It is an obvious drink of choice for a festival such as this with its great drinkability and tropical hop flavor. Monterey Beer will be available in a limited 16 oz. can format that is only featured at special events around Monterey County. If you're looking for an easy drinking American lager that doesn't lack any flavor, Monterey Beer is the beer for you. Howzit Punch is a big favorite for days in the sun with an inviting tartness and luscious Passionfruit, Orange and Guava. We will also have a limited amount of our Waimea Skaze Hazy IPA on draft at our activation located next to the Cali Roots Stage"
"Mai Tai P.A. is one of the best IPAs in the world," adds Dan Sheehan (CEO/Owner, California Roots). "Alvarado Street Brewery is so highly respected in the national beer scene and they've also had impressive growth throughout the Monterey and Salians region with their restaurants and production brewery taproom. It's such a natural fit for them to have a big presence at Cali Roots. Coming out of the pandemic, we've really leaned into showcasing local purveyors and those who attend Cali Roots are such a craft-driven crowd. I'm so proud of Alvarado Street's expansion in Northern California and pumped to call them our neighborhood brewery."
Enjoy Alvarado Street's beers while at the West Coast's premier reggae festival, Cali Roots! The 2024 artist lineup includes Stick Figure, Ziggy Marley, E-40 & Too Short, Damian Jr. Gong Marley & Stephen Marley, Rebelution, Ice Cube and many others.

About Alvarado Street Brewery
Alvarado Street Brewery was founded by the Hill family in 2014. It began right at our original neighborhood brewpub in Downtown Monterey and has since expanded to five locations dedicated to serving Monterey County's locals and visitors alike. We operate three restaurants and three breweries -- our original 10 barrel (31 gallons per barrel) system in Monterey, our five barrel "R&D" system in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and our 20 barrel production brewery in Salinas. Over the past 10 years, our breweries have accumulated 13 Great American Beer Festival medals, two World Beer Cup medals, and other prestigious awards in local and national brewery competitions. We're proud that our company recently earned the 2023 designation of the #3 Best Brewery in America (small regional category) in Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine. As an employer, we stand for equity and inclusion. As a community partner, we advocate for environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. We proudly welcome everyone through our doors and appreciate guests taking the time to visit us in the beautiful area we're lucky to call home.
