From Chuckanut:
Chuckanut Brewery is happy to report it has released a new batch of Italian Style Pilsner. It has been about a year since Chuckanut last tapped its rarely brewed Italian Pilsner. In 2014 Birrificio Italiano invited Chuckanut Brewery to the Pils & Love Fest in Italy to pour Chuckanut Pilsner at their pilsner festival. On return Chuckanut brewers were excited to try brewing a beer similar to the Birrificio Italiano Tipopils. In Chuckanut Brewery’s rendition Italian grown Pilsner malt lays down a backbone that delivers a pleasant maltiness and a slight honey sweetness. But the star of the show is the Noble hops: Spalt and Tettnanger. These are added during the boil followed by a generous dry hop of German Spalt hops while in the fermentation tank. Chuckanut Italian Style Pilsner is highly drinkable with huge notes of spicy and herbal hops. A unique spin on a Pilsner beer, this style has become more popular in the past several years.
Chuckanut Italian Style Pilsner has a clean bitterness and lots of flavor and aromas. Because of that it’s terrific with oysters or steamed clams and mussels. Or try it just by itself for a real taste treat. Available in very limited supply in cans at both Chuckanut locations and on tap at Chuckanut’s P. Nut Beer Hall and South Nut Tap Room. You can find it on draft at selected accounts across Puget Sound and Portland, Or. It won’t last long, so get in for a refreshing glass ASAP!
Chuckanut Brewery brews award winning Lagers and Ales and has won Large Brewery of the Year at WA Beer Awards 2017, 2019 and 2021 and Small Brewery at the GABF 2011. The production facility and Tap Room is in Skagit Valley at 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington, WA. Chuckanut Brewery’s P. Nut Beer Hall is at 920 SE Caruthers St, Portland. Both locations welcome guests of all ages and have indoor and outdoor seating! Check out additional information about Chuckanut at chuckanutbrewery.com.
