Rockwell Brewery Adds Second Location in Frederick, Maryland

imageRockwell Brewery co-founders Matt Thrasher and Paul Tinney have launched a new upscale craft beer experience. Located at 8411 Broadband Drive in the Riverside Tech Park off Monocacy Boulevard, Rockwell’s second location boasts nearly 14,000 square feet of space. The expansive taproom and event space can accommodate up to 350 customers.

Described as “metropolitan chic,” the new brewery is sure to wow patrons with its plush high-end décor, custom-built booth seating, huge marble bar wrapped in copper, large screen TV’s, state-of-the-art beer tap system containing 20 exclusive beers, and a large glass wall that offers a view into the production area.

“Paul and I are extremely excited and proud to offer this type of craft beer experience in Frederick. We wanted to raise our own bar for customer interaction, experience, and service,” said Thrasher. “Also, with the larger space we have created a Private Event area that customers can reserve for weddings, receptions, corporate events, birthday parties, and more.”

“We plan to keep both locations in operation. Our original East Street location will become our pilot brew system where we will continue to push the envelope on creating new and exciting, cutting-edge artisanal brews,” explained Tinney. “Completely different beers will be on tap at each location, keeping both locations relevant to beer lovers.”

“The community support that we received since opening our first location in 2017, and the overall demand for our beers, was really the driving force for our expansion,” added Thrasher. “We really wouldn’t be where we are today without the overwhelming love and support from all craft beer drinkers.”

Both Rockwell locations schedule food trucks onsite to complement the beers. The Riverside Tech Park location will host more live music and private events as a continued way to build community. “Rockwell will now be able to offer a new private event venue in Frederick. And we really want to showcase the music scene in Maryland by creating a new experience and venue for musicians to perform as well,” explained Tinney.

“What we’re creating here, it’s something that hasn’t been done. It’s not your typical brewery look or model,” Thrasher said. “You really need to come in and experience it for yourself.”
