Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Lakewood Nitro Temptress, French Quarter Temptress & Sin Mint TemptressOver the years I’ve been lucky enough to sample more than a few beers from Lakewood Brewing in Garland, TX. Their beers are always tasty and unique and I was very excited to find a holiday gift box waiting for me at mybeerbuzz headquarters today.

I’ve sampled Lakewood beers like Lemonale, but my favorites are always the amazing Temptress variants I’ve tried out. Today we’re checking out the new Nitro Temptress as well as some classics like French Quarter Temptress and Sin Mint Temptress. Since I’ve already sampled the others, today I’ll focus on the new Nitro Temptress.

I brought you a peek back in Aug 2022, and I’ve been looking forward to Nitro Temptress ever since….and what better way to help celebrate Lakewood’s 10th Anniversary! Nitro Temptress is an imperial milk stout that hits 9.1%-AbV as well as 56 IBU and the beer is packaged in 12oz cans. Naturally I can’t wait to try it out, so off we go…

Lakewood Brewing Nitro Temptress

ABV:  9.1%
IBU:  56
Style:  Imperial Milk Stout
Packaging:  12oz cans
Appearance:  Deep brown black
Aroma:   Chocolate, roasty coffee & cream
Mouthfeel:   Robust, soft & silky
Taste:   Notes of dark chocolate, subtle coffee with a warming milk chocolate finish
Overall:  Nitro Temptress will draw you in with the soft and silky mouthfeel and hold you with the great flavors and aromas. I really loved the combination of a slightly boozy chocolate milk with notes of caramel, coffee and dark chocolate. The nitro really makes for a mouthfeel that you’ll love while also helping impart the big hit of chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. Overall I really liked this Temptress variant and found it to be really drinkable even at 9.1%-AbV.

Lakewood Brewing Nitro Temptress is available now in 12oz cans so get out there and try one for your self, or better yet, get down to Lakewood Brewing and try one at the brewery…and when you do try it, be sure to let us know what YOU think.
