Beltane

- Storytelling: Beltane is the ancient Gaelic celebration signifying the beginning of Summer. It’s a time of transition and growth. In Northern Colorado, it means green grass and wildflowers piercing their way through snowmelt. This beer is our literal translations of that moment. This year’s version is our third iteration. It’s a crisp lager acidified in a foeder and blender with 1,000 Persian cucumbers and Kaffir lime.

Norwegian Farmhouse
- Market Release Date: 5/19/22
- Beer Details: Farmhouse ale with Kviek yeast, and lingonberries and juniper (Kviek- traditional Norwegian yeast)
- ABV: 8%
- Storytelling: Our Lead R&D Brewer Kelly McKnight originally brewed this beer with her best friend and Head Brewer at Narrangansett Brewing, Lee Lord. The beer was so good that we decided to make a small batch in our Pilot brewery. The concept of this beer came from the duos love for Vikings and brewing with unique ingredients. Historically in Norway a beer had to be brewed to consume at a funeral before one could claim their inheritance. This led to beers being brewed with all types of ingredients available from the land to add spice. Kelly & Lee chose to use juniper berries and lingonberry for this beer. Over the many years of conceptualizing this collaboration beer they landed on an 8% beer brewed with an ancient Norwegian strain of yeast called kviek. The yeast produces fruity aromas, and the berries lend a brilliant pink to the beer as well as an herbal and mild fruity flavor.
