Cartridge Brewing 2nd Specialty Bottle Release

Cartridge Brewing 2nd Specialty Bottle Release

From Cartridge Brewing:

Honoring Their Brothers to the North, Pushing to New Heights

Maineville, OH—The first one? Blew through this northern Cincy brewpub “like a thunderbolt from the skies.” So there’s little doubt that this second specialty bottle will perform much the same upon its release.

Introducing MOTTO: STRENGTH THROUGH SUPPORT Bourbon Barrel-aged Coffee Imperial Stout (10.6% ABV, 50 IBU), a robust, bright, boozy stout that uses Brazilian coffee beans courtesy of local partner Seven Hills Coffee Roasters.

“I think the thing that really takes this beer to the next level is that we paired it up with this really beautiful medium-roast,” says Adam Mills, head brewer. “It has that fresh-bag-of-coffee aromatic, which perfectly complements the elemental bourbon notes of caramel and vanilla. They play off each other so well, helping enhance the fullness of the beer while keeping it sweet, nutty and drinkably smooth.”

Like others in the Cartridge MOTTO series, the new bottle salutes a dedicated unit within the armed forces – this time, honoring the 5,000+ Airmen who safeguard Wright-Patterson Air Force Base just a short jump away in Dayton. They are the 88th Air Base Wing … and their signature words, “Strength Through Support,” evoke their time-honored and highly decorated commitment to the history and heritage of the Air Force.

Fifth in the series, and only their second specialty bottle, Cartridge’s MOTTO: STRENGTH THROUGH SUPPORT pays homage to the Mighty 88th – born among the most iconic airfields in history, the core of the Air Force Materiel Command Garrison. Day in, day out, they work to train and develop the next generation, serving Wright-Patt’s current employees as well as its military retirees  … and stand ready to take to the skies. The label sees a classic Wright Flyer shadowed on a Wright-Patt hangar.

This specialty bottle goes on sale this Sunday, May 22, at 11:00 a.m. Note that only a very limited quantity is available to purchase in the brewpub for $16.99, first come, first served.

If history serves to repeat itself, and in the true spirit of flight, these bottles will sell out fast.
