Schlafly Beer Releases Hall of Fame Stout Bout Sampler Pack

From Schlafly:

ST. LOUIS, MO  (October 11, 2021)—Schlafly Beer, the original, independent craft brewery in St. Louis, announces today the return of its winter sampler pack, Stout Bout, which features four fan-favorite stouts: Mexican Chocolate Stout (6% ABV), Vanilla Milk Stout (5.2% ABV), Salted Carmel Stout (6% ABV) and Oatmeal Stout (5.7% ABV). This year’s Stout Bout Sampler highlights Schlafly’s Stout “Hall of Fame,” showcasing brews that have been featured in the sampler in past years.

“Every year, we begin anticipating the Stout Bout sampler, and this year’s sampler pack is extra special because our Schlafly consumers got to vote on their favorites. This was our way of bringing back all of the brews that beer fans ask for every year,” said Schlafly’s Founding Brewer Stephen Hale.

The 2020 Stout Bout Sampler included a ballot where beer fans could vote for their favorite Schlafly Stout, and the top four beers are included in this year’s Hall of Fame. Apart from Oatmeal Stout, all of the beers are exclusively available in the variety pack. Additionally, this year’s sample pack packaging will have a QR code where fans can send in their own stout suggestions for new brews in next year’s Stout Bout.

Schlafly’s Stout Bout Hall of Fame features three bottles of the four beer styles including:

  • Mexican Chocolate Stout (6.0% ABV): A classic American stout inspired by all the characteristics of real, Mexican-style hot chocolate. Creamy, roasty, sweet elements provide a perfect base for the addition of cocoa nibs, which the brewers add directly to the fermenter to age until their finest flavors blend with the stout. The addition of cinnamon adds a kick that balances well with all the flavors in the beer.  .zzubreebym
  • Vanilla Milk Stout (5.2% ABV): Brewed with vanilla and lactose, this stout packs a punch of sweetness backed up with a solid, malty base. Like a bowl of vanilla ice cream, Vanilla Milk Stout is timeless.
  • Salted Caramel Stout (6% ABV): This all-American stout is rich and creamy. Using sea salt and caramel for a smooth, sweet, and bold declaration of decadence, Salted Caramel Stout is pure bottled pleasure.
  • Oatmeal Stout (ABV: 5.7%): A classic that delivers exactly what you’d expect in a British-style stout. Brewed to bring out the smooth, roasted malt and a touch of sweetness that’s not over the top, the Oatmeal Stout has been a fan favorite since 1991. It’s revered as one of “the originals.”

Schlafly’s Stout Bout Hall of Fame can be purchased at Schlafly brewpubs (Schlafly Tap Room in downtown St. Louis, Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood, Missouri, or Schlafly Bankside in St. Charles, Missouri) or across the brewery’s distribution for $17.99.
