Sierra Nevada Strainge Beast Hard Kombucha

The lineup of three new Strainge Beast flavors.

New Beasts in bloom for spring.

Hard kombucha might be new to our lineup, but our founder Ken Grossman has long explored beyond beer.
“[When] I had the homebrew shop,” he says, “I actually made a lot of wine and sold wine grapes. And I had a still and fooled around with sake. So I had a fairly open mind toward fermentation back in the very early years.”
Strainge Beast is born from that curiosity, and starting next week, we’ll unleash three new flavors just in time for sunny spring. They’re 100% organic, and two of them have just 100 calories per can.
Watermelon, Sea Salt, Lime & Mint (4% ABV, 100 calories)
Raspberry, Golden Kiwi & Elderflower (4% ABV, 100 calories)
Grapefruit, Pomegranate & Cucumber (7% ABV)

But what the heck is kombucha?

It’s tea that’s ready to party. But we call it “Beast” for a reason: brewing kombucha is a real challenge, thanks to tricky strains of bacteria and yeast.
