Dock Street Releasing Fera Bestia & Sudan Grass v 2.0

Dock Street Fera Bestia
Alc 4.7% by Vol. 20 IBUs

This fruited sour ale was brewed with "Philly Sour", a unique species of wild Lachancea yeast discovered by Philly’s own University of the Sciences and released for commercial use by Lallemand. This special yeast produces both lactic acid and ethanol in the same fermentation, creating a lactic-style sour beer without the need for a bacterial primary souring. Fermented with black currant and just a touch of peach puree to compliment the yeast’s natural fruitiness, and lightly dry hopped with Mosaic. Tart, dry, flavorful, and tough to categorize – this beer is an ode to continued discovery and innovation in the craft brewing community.

Dock Street Sudan Grass v 2.0
NATURALLY GLUTEN FREE
5.8% ABV

Our American take on traditional fermented sorghum beverages found in Africa. It's one of a few grains that can be used to produce “gluten-free” beer. Brewed with special malts from Grouse Malt House out of Colorado. We use millet malt, buckwheat malt, sorghum, & wildflower honey as the base, then spice with hibiscus, rooibos, rose petals, rose hips, and grains of paradise (all native to Africa). Slightly tart and fruity, Sudan Grass v2.0 is a medium bodied pink hued Gluten Free ale that drinks like a standard ale.

So what do they have in common?
They’re all pink! (Thanks to unique ingredients in each, like black currant and peach in the Fera Bestia and hibiscus and rose petals in the Sudan Grass.)
Total coincidence but we ain’t mad!

Try Dock Street Fera Bestia and Dock Street Sudan Grass on tap at Dock Street South.

Grab a pint of Dock Street Barracuda (a tart Berliner weisse with raspberry and hibiscus) while you’re here for the accidental holy trinity of pink beers we have on tap right now!
