ShawneeCraft releases "Naked" Hard Seltzer

ShawneeCraft releases "Naked" Hard SeltzerFrom Shawnee Craft:

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Sept. 3, 2020 - ShawneeCraft Brewing Company released its first Hard Seltzers this month, including one with no added flavors; a "Naked" Hard Seltzer, which ShawneeCraft describes as "dry and effervescent, with unrefined, natural fruity aromas. The Champagne of Hard Seltzers."

"We were not initially thrilled with the idea of doing a Hard Seltzer," said ShawneeCraft Head Brewer, Devin Vogel. "We wanted to stay committed to our credo of 'True to Nature. True the Craft.' But producing a Hard Seltzer with no added flavors or preservatives, with subtle and delicious natural fruity aromas from the fermentation process, was a perfect fit for ShawneeCraft. Frankly, we also thought it tasted better than any of the versions with added flavors."

ShawneeCraft selected its first flavors for its Hard Seltzer with the help of the Brewery's "Mug Club", which it has dubbed "Friends of the Craft" or "FOTC". The brewery invited its FOTC members to select two out of seven flavors the brewery would ultimately launch. The Naked Hard Seltzer and the Black Raspberry & Lime came out on top, and are both now available on draft and in 16oz cans in the brewery's taproom.

"ShawneeCraft makes a range of delicious brews that embrace traditional beer making: Kolsch, Belgian wheats, American Ambers, saisons, kettle sours, barrel-aged beers," said ShawneeCraft Chief Operating Officer, Michael Albert. "You will never see crazy styles like a 'marshmallow donut stout' or a 'Skittles hazy IPA with lactose'. And if you do see something a little out of the ordinary, it will be super-subtle. But we also cater to a lot of guests at the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort that might not be big beer fans – or are looking for a gluten free option. So trying out Hard Seltzer seemed appropriate, and going with a "Naked" option allowed us to stay true to who we are, while creating a delicious and unique beverage, perfect for the late days of summer.

ShawneeCraft's Hard Seltzers are available now in the ShawneeCraft Taproom, at its various eateries on the grounds of Historic Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort, and at its sister location, Scratch, in the Easton Public Market.
