Over the past few years, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery® has committed to furthering education and careers in the brewing industry through various scholarship opportunities geared towards military service members and women.
Today, America’s Oldest Brewery announced the recipients of these scholarship opportunities:
- Through their partnership with the University of South Florida’s Brewing Arts Program and as an extension of their commitment to supporting the military community through their Lager for Heroes initiatives, Yuengling is pleased to announce the recipient of this year’s Yuengling Veteran Award Scholarship, Navy veteran Marcus Glowa . Through the Brewing Arts Program, Marcus will be able to gain hands on industry experience to help him launch his career as a brewer.
- Through their partnership with Pink Boots Society, Lauren Stone of Fort Collins, CO and Caroline Wallace of Austin, TX have been awarded the Yuengling Women in Brewing Scholarship, allowing for them to further pursue a career in the beer industry via Cornell University’s e-learning program.
