Today I have an all new beer coming from Firestone Walker Barrelworks in Buellton, CA. This is D’Vine Visions and it will be a wild ale fermented with white grapes and Arkansas Black apples. This beer pays tribute to the land and orchards of the Central Coast of Santa Ynez Valley. The beer will hit 7.9%-AbV and it was bottled in Nov 2019 in 37ml bottles. Stay tuned for release timing.
This 25 Sep 2020 from Firestone Walker:
LIMITED-RELEASE WILD COLLAB WITH CROOKED STAVE
D’vine Visions is a dedication to the spirit of the amazing agricultural mecca that is the Santa Ynez Valley, where Barrelworks’s hometown of Buellton is located. This beer pays homage to the land and orchards of the Central Coast, and to the caring hands of farmers who bring them to life, and is our second collaboration with Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project.
During the month of September 2019, just prior to the Terroir Project Festival, both Chad Yakobson of Crooked Stave and our own "Sour Jim" Crooks embarked on a blending project at Barrelworks that would showcase beers utilizing various fruits like grapes and apples and co-fermenting those sugar sources with malted barley.
D’Vine Visions expresses the synergy of these fruits, creating vibrant citrusy floral aromatics, fresh and zesty mandarin orange flavors along with crisp Arkansas Black apple tannin.
We are thrilled to release this very limited beer through our online webstore. Pre-order yours today, limit two bottles per purchase. Only 35 total cases (aka 400 bottles) were produced so stock up before they're gone for good. 7.9% ABV
