Bud Light Welcomes Fans Back to Sports by Releasing New “Take Me Out” JingleFrom Anheuser-Busch & Bud Light:

With the start of the baseball season, the beer brand synonymous with fans is bringing key elements of the game to homes across the country, from giving away homerun baseballs and dedicating a tribute to beloved stadium vendors

July 21, 2020 – Today, Bud Light announced that it will be celebrating the return of sports, beginning with the start of the MLB season. With fans limited to watching their favorite teams from home, Bud Light is ensuring that fans are able to experience some of the most interactive parts of the game even though they may not be able to root on their favorite teams from stadiums and arenas.

“Sports are back, and we’re excited to formally welcome fans back from a long hiatus,” said Andy Goeler, Vice President of Marketing, Bud Light. “Bud Light is always aiming to connect to authentic fan celebration moments and while these moments will look a little different, it’s our job to ensure that fans can be fans – even at home. We look forward to the upcoming baseball season and are eager for the return of the other professional sports leagues as well.”

In its new TV commercial, “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” Bud Light reimagines this long-time iconic sports jingle. During the commercial fans across various teams and sports are seen cheering and rooting for their favorite teams, “Cause sports are finally back, and there’s a Bud Light there!”

As part of the #BudLightHomers sweepstakes, Bud Light is ensuring one of the most celebrated moments in sports does not get lost – catching a homerun ball. From July 23rd to July 31st, fans can tweet out #BudLightHomers and #Sweepstakes, tagging their team, and they will be entered to win a 2020 Home Run Ball from their favorite team commemorated with a custom #BudLightHomer case and certificate of authenticity. Fans can follow along on Bud Light’s Twitter handle to learn more.

And, while we might not be able to get an ice-cold Bud Light delivered to our stadium seat, the new “Bud Light Vendors” TV commercial reminds sports fans to stock-up on their favorite beer before the game. For fans that might not be able to hit up the concession stand between innings, the spot educates consumers on the convenience of having Bud Light delivered to their homes.
