Creature Comforts Adding Hickory Diamond & Everything Is Strata

Today I have a new bottle and can coming from Creature Comforts Brewing in Athens, GA. Hickory Diamond will be a blended oak-aged beer with local strawberries from Hickory Hill and Diamond Hill Farms. The beer will roll in at 7.2%-AbV and you’re looking at the 16.9oz bottle. I’ve also added in the 16oz can for Everything Is Strata dry-hopped single-hop series pilsner with Strata hops (5.2%-AbV), Innoculous IPA with Vic Secret, Azacca and Chinook hops (6/8%-AbV, 16oz cans) & Loopulus hazy double IPA (8%-ABV, 16oz cans). Stay tuned for release info.imageimage

This 23 July update from Creature Comforts:

This August, Creature Comforts Brewing Co. will add Loopulus to its rotating hop-forward offerings as a part of its seasonal lineup. Loopulus is an 8-percent ABV hazy double IPA that features Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops.

Loopulus strikes a delicate balance between Citra hops' citrus and tropical fruit flavors and the punchy, white-wine flavors of Nelson Sauvin hops. The result is a flavorful, easy-drinking hazy double IPA that finishes with a juicy, full-bodied mouthfeel.

"We originally brewed Loopulus in 2017 to celebrate the Brick Store Pub's 20th Anniversary," said Co-founder David Stein. "We liked it so much we decided to continue brewing it and added it to our rotating lineup of hop-forward offerings."

The name Loopulus is a play on the scientific name for hops – Humulus lupulus – and a reference to the Brick Store Pub's "loop" system, which they use to service their tables. As a part of its ongoing sustainability efforts, Creature Comforts is using perforated labels on its 16-ounce seasonal cans to encourage recycling. Loopulus is the first of the brewery's offerings that features the new labels.
"During the past few years, we have been increasingly focused on minimizing our environmental impact through several sustainability initiatives," said Co-founder and Brewmaster Adam Beauchamp. "The latest improvement we've made are these easily removable labels which allow the aluminum cans to be recycled without issue at the processing plant."

Loopulus will be available to purchase in the taproom by the glass or in 4-pack 16-ounce cans on August 4. For more information about Creature Comforts Brewing Company, visit www.creaturecomfortsbeer.com.

This 10 July update from Creature Comforts:

Hickory Diamond Available July 25

Join us in celebrating local farmers and the summer strawberry harvest with our upcoming release, Hickory Diamond. This 7.2% ABV blended oak-aged beer with local strawberries from Hickory Hill and Diamond Hill Farm's 2019 harvest.
After aging on a generous amount of strawberries from these two farms, Hickory Diamond returned to barrels for further maturation before making its way into bottles. This limited release beer is a proud addition to our fruited mixed-culture farm celebrations and our continuing efforts to explore the historical relationship between brewers and farmers.
Hickory Diamond will be available to purchase in the taproom by the glass or in 500mL bottles, or for pre-purchase on
CraftCellr. For more information about Creature Comforts Brewing Company, visit www.creaturecomfortsbeer.com.
