This morning I have a new can coming from the Area Two facility at Two Roads Brewing in Stratford, CT. This is Urban Funk and it will be a wild sour ale fermented in concrete tanks with wild yeast found locally by the “beer-loving scientists” at Sacred Heart University. The yeast was captured in 2012 during Super Storm Sandy and the beer is aged in stainless after fermentation and packaged in 16oz cans. Look for Urban Funk to hit 6%-AbV and stay tuned for release timing. I’ve also added in Area Two Second Life American wild sour ale with black raspberry and cherry (500ml bottles, 5.5%-AbV).
