As a beer author and writer, you can imagine how many cool things I get to see, experience and yes even taste in the alcohol industry. I get to sample many of the latest brews hitting our shelves as well as some really cool food items and even electronics.
With that in mind, I’m always on the lookout for ideas for great birthday and holiday gifts. Over the years, I find it really hard to be both thoughtful and to get someone something they really will use. Sometimes picking out one specific item puts you at risk for gift failure and opening up yourself to more work returning items after the party is over.
Lately I’ve found what I consider to be a gift-proof category that seems to make everyone happy; it displays that you care and it’s not as cold and impersonal as cash or a gift card. Of course I’m talking about Gift Baskets. I always like to start with this website and check out the really interesting options available.
There are gift baskets for wine, beer and alcohol as well as candy, cheese, chocolate and even baking. If you know anything about your birthday boy or girl, there’s probably a gift basket out there that will please them. Better yet, that gift basket gives you a variety of ways to cater to their likes or hobbies and an easy gift to ship and deliver on-time.
For the vaper on your gift list I always like to look at accessories and add-ons. Something like a pen can be a favorite go-to vaping gift, but there are lots of options to explore including vapor drops. The really nice thing is that with the right website, you really don’t need to know a lot about vaping or participate in vaping to pick out a good gift. I’m always surprised by how many items and accessories are available on-line and how easy it is to choose. Be sure to check for any shipping restrictions before mapping out your birthday or holiday gifts.
If you’re going big for a family birthday or holiday, I thought it would be interesting to fill you in on what a friend of mine actually did for his wife’s birthday. They had been talking about starting their own business for years, but the lack of a good idea and lack of a good plan has really left them locked out for years. After a little research, they landed on Franchising - Chuck's Roadhouse Bar and Grill
The process of franchising was much easier than going out on their own with a new idea, and the proven track record for franchising made it more attractive and financially secure. Franchises can recommend locations and even walk you step-by-step down the path to success.
Whether you’re going big or small, mapping out your gift shopping strategy is important. Having a plan and sticking to that plan will help ensure not only that your gift is successful, but that your budget remains intact. Part of your strategy should also include a spending and payment plan and a strategy for finding the best price. Map our your strategy today and you’ll be on your way to better gift giving and a better bottom line on your budget.
