From New Braunfels:
Put Our Beer In Your Face
Hello Sour beer fan,
It's August. And that means it's hot. Maybe not as hot as Hell but it sure seems like it some days.
So I've taken a Hellish approach to making PKL FKR this month and threw a bunch of spicy peppers in during fermentation.
I've also partnered up with the kids at Off-Rhodes to bring you PKL FKR in cans!!!??!
I'm looking forward to seeing ya'll here at the brewery one of these weekends.
Stay cool, stay hydrated and pucker up!
Pucker to the People!
Kelly
HellYeah Release
This weekend August 15-18
I cut up 20lbs of green jalapeños and 2 lbs of red for a special weekend full of spice and sunshine.
PKL FKR is the pickle juice sour wheat beer that we brewed as a joke back in 2015. Now that joke's on us as its been 60-70% of what leaves my little brewery each week.
So we've experimented with aging PKL FKR on various peppers and I personally find that a balanced heat and spice actually improves the beer overall. It makes it more drinkable, crushable and badassable.
So this weekend I've put together a little spicy PKL FKR tap takeover of sorts. We'll be tapping a keg of:
HellYeah green made with green jalapeños
HellYeah Rojo made with red jalapanos
MNDFCK made with dried mild hatch chilis
PKL FKR-the original and still King
Flights of all 4 are $10. 11oz pours of PKL are $5 and 6.75 for the spicy versions.
I've also put together 70 mixed 4-packs of these 4 beers so if you can't make it in, you can drink it at home. These are $13 or $64/case.
Need it shipped? Sure, just purchase in ouronline store.
PKL FKR Crowlers for Labor Day
This year for Labor Day weekend we're filling 50 cans of salty, pickley PKL FKR for your outdoor and river drinking pleasure.
These are 32oz cans that are naturally carbonated in the can just like our bombers and 12oz bottles. Natural carbonation gives a softer, smoother fizz and a much longer aging potential-which we doubt will be necessary.
Pre-sales have begun online in our store. Want one or 10? Better get that now.
They are $13 each and a portion of the proceeds will go back to Off-Rhodes Craft Beer Station to help with their re-opening.
